The Communications Officer’s primary responsibility is to assist the director and marketeer implementing the communication strategy. This covers a wide range of operational activities, including internal and external communication.
In addition, as a customer officer, you will be involved in logistical planning and stock management
The Communications Officer reports directly to the Director of Agrifood.
1. INTERNAL COMMUNICATION
This position will mainly involve:
Make up and follow up communication plan
Organises all meetings: agenda invitations, setup
Makes summary of meeting and draws up a to do list and checks with the director who the various tasks will be delegated to
Follow up of the to do list, also outside of the meetings
Makes up project time lines and follow up meetings (for example for the creation of a new PL)
Reports as much as possible/needed to the Director on progress
Makes up agendas of the sales people and communicates with the customer office and finance and inquires information on these customers
Communicates input from the customer office and finance to sales people to prepare the customer visit
Booking of hotels, flights, rental cars, … according to company policy
Distributes useful reports (statistics on important PL’s or customers, market information, etc etc..)
2. EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION
In relation with d’Arta (group) this person will be responsible for:
Customer mailings on new products
Layout presentations, logo, design packaging
Support in updating the website, generating content for Newsletters, the website and social media platforms.
2. ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS LOGISTICS & STOCK MANAGEMENT
Monitoring and management of logistics and storage activities:
Monitoring/management of Administrative tasks such as calculating travel costs, controlling invoices of the transport costs…
Monitoring/management of Pallet management
Monitoring/management of logistical disruptions (delays, broken cartons, missing articles…) creation and monitoring of KPIs.
Monitoring/management of stocks and coldstores; monitoring of plans of arrival of the goods from external coldstores
FIFO/FEFO management; monitoring of expiry dates; alert/communications of stocks to sell
Monitoring of packaging stocks
Fulfilling other responsibilities and tasks as necessary for the good organisation of the office, as mandated by the Director.
Candidates should demonstrate the following competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in communications / business administration or equivalent.
2 years’ experience in a similar communication related function
Native level Italian, knowledge of English is required.
Experience in a service-oriented company
SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Strong writing skills
Very good knowledge of MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint, use of e-mail and internet.
Knowledge of an ERP program
OTHER COMPETENCIES
